Thanks to this support from the National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures (NALAC), Galán Cultural Center will be able to offer Folklórico ZAPATEANDO “CORAZÓN” a special folklórico class created to make traditional Mexican dance more accessible to people of all abilities, with students participating alongside an adult or caregiver.

We believe culture, art, and the joy of dancing should be accessible to everyone. This program is an opportunity to create a welcoming space where more people can connect with our traditions, express themselves, build confidence, and simply enjoy being part of the community.

We are deeply grateful to NALAC for supporting this vision and helping us create greater access to the arts for communities that may not always have these opportunities.

And we celebrate Mayra Selene Sosa, whose love and dedication to folklórico has always been about much more than dance , it is about community, culture, connection, and passing our traditions on to everyone.
